We've compiled a list of answers to questions we are frequently asked about our rods and business.  If
you don't find the answer you're looking for here, please email us your question or give us a call
(919-475-3243).

1. How long will it take to build my custom rod?

On average it takes 1-3 weeks for us to build out a custom rod that has been ordered online or at a
show.  It can take an additional 2-7 days for the rod to be shipped to you depending on the location and
shipping method used.  For orders with special requests such as a painted blank, decorative thread art,
or unique rod component it may take up to six weeks for us to fulfill an order.  Regardless of the
situation we will always provide you with an estimated finish date once we receive an order, and we will
notify you when your rod is ready to be shipped or for pick-up.

2.  How do I order a rod?

Orders can be placed online via our store at www.skeetscustomrods.com or by emailing Skeet
(skeet@skeetsfishingrods.com) or by calling 919-475-3243.

3.  What blanks do you use?

The blank is the back bone of your rod and as such is the most important component selected in the
custom building process. The type of blank used to build your rod will depend on the type of fishing
you do and the power and action you are looking for.  Here at Skeet's we don't use a single rod blank
manufacturer.  Instead we use a variety of manufacturers products (Pacific Bay, Rainshadow/Forecast,
etc) and select only top of the line blanks for use in our rods.  This allows us to bring you the best blank
for each rod style and application while keeping our rods light weight and durable.  Unlike name brand
fishing rod companies we aren't locked in and limited by what a certain blank manufacturer offers.  So
we can build you any rod you're looking for.

4.  What type of guides/eyes do you use?

We use Titanium Nitride Guides on all of our rods.  These guides are designed to hold up much better
than the Fuji guide and many of the standard guides found on name brand rods. Many of the superlines
being used today will over time groove the ceramics that have been used on guides for years. Titanium
Nitride guides will stand up to any of these lines and will remain smooth. When you combine that with
the TiChrome plated stainless steel frames you have a guide that will offer top notch performance for
many years to come.

5.  I'm not sure what power or action to choose, can you help me?

We have blanks to cover any type of fishing and will be happy to make recommendations if you are
uncertain what power or action to select.  Simply email or call us and we can get you started on the
right path in as little as 5 minutes.

6. I'm looking for a sponsor.  How can I get Skeet's Custom Rods to sponsor my event?

Each year we are approached by a number of individuals looking for tournament and charity
sponsorship.  Skeet's Custom Rods believes in actively participating in our community and we do so by
assisting with a number of events.  We have already finished making decisions regarding sponsorship of
events in the 2007 season.  We are however reviewing sponsorship opportunities for next year.  If you
have a tournament or charity event you would like us to consider sponsoring in 2008 please contact us
by mail or email.

7.  How much do your rods cost?

Rod prices vary depending on the components you select. Visit our online store at
www.skeetscustomrods.com to build out a rod and determine the price or call us 919-475-3243 for a
quote.
